"Dinosaurs Through Time" is a documentary a friend named George and I working on showing how dinosaurs survived for a long time and continued to evolve into many shapes and sizes. This is the concept art for Liliensternus liliensterni which will appear in the second sequence of the first episode, "The Beginning". It was a carnivorous theropod that hunted large dinosaurs such has Plateosaurus. Liliensternus lived in late Triassic Europe between 228 and 201 million years ago. It measured 16 ft long and was much bigger than its relative Coelophysis. Males most likely had a brightly colored crest used for intimidation and impressing females. The coloration of Liliensternus is based of the draco lizard in this image images.nationalgeographic.com/… and the spotted and stripy coats of big cats.
